Check out the Self-Driving Audi A7 That Made a 770-Mile Trip

Earlier this month, a very special Audi A7 prototype called "Jack" made a trip from the Silicon Valley to the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The vehicle, outfitted with advanced navigation, sensors, cameras, and radar technologies made almost the entire trip along the desert highway with no driver, marking the next step in autonomous driving technology.

"Jack" is optimized for highway driving, and able to travel at speeds of up to 70 mph and pass other drivers. Although the self-driving prototype has yet to master the more complex urban driving environment, it is only a matter of time before we see this technology hit the streets. Check it out:

While we excitedly await for this technology in production cars, visit our impressive new Audi inventory at Audi Brooklyn for a good old-fashioned driving experience (with a driver) combined with all the high-tech luxury our 2015 models have to offer.
