Second-generation Audi Q7 amps up efficiency, style, and technology

The newest edition Audi Q7 won't hit dealerships until early next year, but that doesn't mean we can't share a few details with you about the hotly-anticipated redesign of one of our favorite SUVs. Here's what you should know about the second generation Q7:

Weight reduction and efficiency: The Q7 will undergo a several-hundred-pound weight loss thanks to new lightweight materials-- ultra high-strength steel and aluminum-- and will reportedly deliver up to a combined 47.9 combined mpg.

Jaw-dropping technology: A 12.3-inch "virtual cockpit" multimedia display is built into the dashboard, which shows never-before-seen driver assistance information and navigation in vivid, high-definition color. Plus, with sound systems from Bose and Bang & Olufsen featuring up to 23 speakers, you'll enjoy 3D sound for a home theater-effect... in your car.

Sculpted, spacious dimensions: The newest Q7 appears more chiseled and sculpted than its predecessor. Despite a roofline that appears to swing low, and slightly shorter and narrower dimensions for the body of the vehicle, the newest Q7 is said to deliver more cabin space and headroom.

If you're looking for a luxury, urban-friendly SUV with incredible efficiency, it may be time to check out the Q7 at Audi Brooklyn. We won't expect the new generation of the model for several months, but feel free to ask about our TDI clean diesel lineup and explore our entire Audi showroom.
